11/7/04 - My Big Fat Obnoxious Boss

Figured I would start the thread since I am really looking forward to this. Anyone know how many episodes this will be?

I didn't like Obnoxious Fiance, but I am going to check this out, at least initially to see what it is all about. Hey, it can't be as bad as The Benefactor, right?

I think everyone on the show is an actor, if it weren't for all the ass and cleavage shots of the hot women (all of them except 1 are pretty decent) I'd have already turned this off.

How many eps is this supposed to run?

I like the fact that they don't even pretend they're not parodying The Apprentice.

Basically I like the idea of torturing all these people.

It felt more like Joe Schmo than MBFOF, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The female exec wasn't very convincing, but the other two weren't bad. I loved the Apprentice line, and I actually think the boardroom rule with the survivor becoming team leader/exempt is pretty good. I wasn't really impressed with this episode, but the future episodes look much more interesting. The real fun of this show should be the interaction with the obnoxious boss, and it looks like this will increase in later episodes.

I think the real boss is a

a chicken that pecks at the person's picture who then gets eliminated.

I think the show is funny. Trump takes himeself too seriously so his show is ripe for parody.

I thought the show was great. A few very funny moments... its fun to see the pretend execs spit out whatever comes to their heads, no matter how ridiculous. Telling the men they weren't sexy enough and they should have targeted gay couples was hilarious. The uncomfortable money matresses was humoerous to me as well.

Either that or a George Costanza reference.

I'll bet the real boss is the show's producer. Think about it. They are already making fun of other reality shows - what better way than to stick it to them by pointing out that the producer makes the decision to get the best ratings...

I'm going to go out on a very short limb and guess the real boss is Rupert Murdock.

Maybe the real boss is Donald Trump?

I have a question about the show. Won't the contestants take the first chance they get to go online and look up IOCor?

I do not know who the real boss is, and personally I do not care because the show doesn't have it for me. I swear a couple of these people look familiar. The show was funny in spots but not 'that' funny. I probably will not follow this at all.
