Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More and Fistful of Dynamite - When?

The restored Fistful of Dollars, For A Few Dollars More and Duck You Sucker DVDs will be release in Europe around April and in the U.S. in the summer of 2005. Just finished the supplements and damn happy to be done. I know Aldo will be in the supplements as they interviewed at my house. Chris Frayling is in town to do some narration tracks. We will meet with MGM and Chris Monday and get some better dates for Leone Exhibit starting in August 2005. Chris Frayling is doing narration for The Good, The Bad and Ugly with the hope that they will re-release the film PROPERLY in its right state later, although Sony bought MGM we will keep our fingers crossed.
Have seen the completed films and appear to have the missing scenes restored as well as the A.B.C. forward with Harry Dean Stanton in Fistful Of Dollars.
Loads of unpublished stills will be on the supplements as well.

Um, so this guy "hopes" they will be re-re-releasing TGTBATU because something was wrong with the last release (the white boxed one)? I never heard there was anything wrong with the last release, which I happily bought and enjoyed....

Grrrrr.......

Nothing is really wrong with the most recent release, it's just that some people don't like the extra scenes added in, with the new dubbing. But I think that the original DVD is fine, so owning them both, I don't feel any need to buy another release (at least until the Blu-Ray version comes out in the future ).

Great news about the other films finally getting nice releases.

the A.B.C. forward with Harry Dean Stanton in Fistful Of Dollars.
It's cool to see that included. I've always read about that scene but never saw it.

Agreed, very happy with the recent GBU - and pleased that the others are also being shown some respect.

This is excellent news...but I won't be getting rid of my current dvds anytime soon. Will they include the original mono mixes or not still remains to be seen.

I knew these would get re-released sooner or later. So glad I waited, now I can complete my Leone collection.

Added to my wish list. Just when my list starts to get manageable, along come announcements like this, and my list starts to grow again. Must....catch.....up....

I anticipated this might happen and dumped my copies of Fistful of Dollars and For a Few Dollars More during the BB DVD trade in deal for $16 in credit. I will gladly repurchase these since the previous versions had terrible audio and video.

I just hope this release of Duck, You Sucker has
Spoiler:
The final flashback in it's entirety
AND
Spoiler:
Juan's last line.

I've viewed 2 versions of the movie and I've never seen the mentioned scenes put together in one cut.

Count me in on picking of FOD an FAFDM as well!

Amen. The Good the Bad and the Ugly was the only one of the three which had an even remotely decent presentation on the original DVD which is why it was distressing that it was the only one to get rereleased. I can't wait to finally be able to see these two as they should be seen (aka with decent audio and video that are synched together properly).

If you have access to HDNet Movies, they show Duck You Sucker regularly. I'm not sure if a downsampled version of that is what's going to be used on this DVD or not. Next airings are 11/10 at 11:45 AM, 11/11 at 5:30 AM, and 11/29 at 7 AM (EST).

They need to remaster High Plains Drifter and Hang'em High also. Both of these are great films that I would buy the minute the new releases would come out.

I'm not a spaghetti western nor a Sergio Leone expert, but I take it "Duck You Sucker" and "Fistful of Dynamite" are the same film?
