I can only think of 2 at the moment.
The Matrix
LOTR.

Anything else?

The Matrix isn't a trilogy. It's one good movie followed by two turds.

How about: Terminator (1, 2, 3)
Night/Dawn/Day of the Dead
From Dusk Till Dawn (2 is Texas Blood Money and 3 is Hangman's Daughter)
Robocop (1, 2, 3)
American Pie (1, 2, Wedding)
Beverly Hill Cop (1, 2, 3)
Die Hard (1, 2, 3)
Jurassic Park (1, 2 3)
Rambo (1, 2 3)
Poltergeist (1, 2, 3)
Spy Kids (1, 2, 3)

Others that are not quite trilogies: Jack Ryan Collection (4 films), Alien movies (if you drop Alien 3 you can sort of have a trilogy), Karate Kid, Rocky

Star Trek II, III and IV are often considered a trilogy. All the stories are connected.

Then you ain't gonna hit 3, that's for sure.

I'd say that LOTR is the only 'new' trilogy that fits your criteria.

(Meatballs, of course, is a close second. You'd probably hit 3 if the Good Burger folks would finally finish the saga.)

well star wars is now a saga so I'd count the alien movies and the bond films (connerys and the only other good 1 goldeneye)
the gamera films
the Evil DEAD Trilogy
LOTR is right up ther with star wars, indy and bttf
the Matrix is really more than just 3 films the animatrix is diffrent lil stories that I think were better than the sequils

A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More and The Good, the Bad & the Ugly make up a good trilogy.

The Godfather, The Godfather Part 2, The Godfather Part 3.

Actually Part Three Sucks, but Part's 1 & 2 are so good that it literally makes up a good 3rd Part.
