Anyone know if this is a dual-sided DVD? Or is Full Frame is the only version available? I know this had a theatrical release. so I can not imagine that FF is the true OAR.

Why no extras? I wanted to see a making-of documentary for this classic.

Looked at the back cover of this and there's a note saying "Slightly edited from theatrical version". As if there weren't already enough reasons to avoid it.

""SuperBabies: Baby Geniuses 2" was only released as a Family Edition. No scenes were removed however, the appearance of guns in the film was edited out for the DVD." -Sony from imdb.
wonder if Spielberg was involved in this decision.

So, we have this tradition called Family Night here in the brizz household, where we get pizza on friday nights and take turns renting a movie. Last friday was my 5 year old's turn, and much to my dismay she comes home clutching Superbabies, and VERY excited about it. We spend plenty of time stearing her away from Mary Kate and Ashley crap and whatnot, but there wasn't much my wife could do on this one, and she was not aware of exactly how bad it was supposed to be. God was it bad. but at least it was only 88 minutes long. and the pizza was really really good.

I'm waiting for the Blu-ray edition. No way I'm double-dipping on this one.

I heard Halle Berry will only do Superbabies 3 if her role is expanded.

I am really looking forward to the DVD extra: career bio's for all of the baby actors (who played babies).

Should be pretty unrated.

They cut out the conception scene!

The #1 worst movie of all time, according to IMDB Bottom 100!!

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0270846/

It seems clear to me that this masterpiece of a film should be released in a 4-disc Special Extended Edition with 50 minutes of added scenes!

it's disappointing that there is no commentary track featuring real babies.

and what about special packaging where the dvd can be inside a soiled diaper?

Wait a second - Jon Voight is headlining this piece of shit?!? The SAME Jon Voight who won an oscar, and was nominated 3 more times? Holy cow - what, did he have to make a car payment? Did someone have incriminating photos of him having sex with a dead sheep?

BTW, this film was directed by Bob Clark, who may be the only director with a film in both the top and bottom 150 on IMDB. (A Christmas Story is #147 in the top 250 list.)

And the star of A Christmas Story became a porn actor. In 20 years will we be able to say the same for Baby Geniuses?

I just bought a car that was owned by a Jon Voight. In the glove compartment I found a copy of Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2 (SBBG2) with teeth marks in it. I wonder if it is THE Jon Voight's car? Regardless...at least this saves me several hours of having to wait in line to get my copy. Also, this is the R2 version of the film, with the infamous deleted section where several of the adorable babies get drunk and stoned , only to realize they can't find their car.

Peter Billingsley, who played Ralph, didn't become a porn star. It was Scott Schwartz, the kid who gets his tongue stuck to the pole, who did. (see the sixth question down in the link)

You're confusing him with Jon Voight, the periodontist who SOLD his car, that George bought on Seinfeld. George made the same mistake. The studio probably brought the guy in for dental care of the babies, then ending up casting him.

(EDIT: WafflePower beat me to the Seinfeld connection.)

My kids wanted to see the movie/DVD, so I rented it as one of my 3 from blockbuster.com.

1. Full Screen only
2. Very silly little movie. Great for kids.
3. Had a few chuckles in the movie
4. Glad I rented it for "free" from Blockbuster.com
5. Do not buy unless you are a Grandparent that will be having kids come through your house for years to come.
