Snatch Superbit pikey subtitles??

Can anyone confirm whether or not the Superbit of Snatch retains Brad Pitt's pikey subtitles from the initial release? I haven't seen this come up in any reviews or threads . . .

Thanks,
Dave

I just saw the Superbit version. Not sure what you mean though because I never saw the initial release. Was there subtitles shown when Brad Pitt's character spoke?

How much (if any) of an improvement is the superbit transfer?

Not much!
I had both, at one point, and could hardly tell the difference on my 50" HDTV.
All the reviews I read said if you've already owned the original, it wasn't worth the upgrade.

Snatch was the first Superbit title I bought (it was on sale at Best Buy!) and I was curious as to whether I would see any difference. At the time I had a 27" set.

I put the old disc in, took a look at a couple of scenes, then repeated this with the SB disc. I was pleased to notice that I could see a sharper, more detailed transfer - and this was with a 27" set, remember. I have picked up SBs since, especially as I now have a 53" set.

Yep, there were optional subtitles for when Brad Pitt's character spoke.
