Who is the most awesome looking figure/creature in horror?

Don't say Michael Myers or Jason, because they wear masks and hide there originality.

Now Jason without his mask is pretty sweet.

I have to nominate the Wishmaster im my opinion.

Wishmaster is cool but the THING or the many different looks of the THING by John Carpenter was the best and most original at least in recent times.

I second Dr. Giggles. Criterion treatment is long overdue.

Alien is probably the best designed creature ever. I do like the Creeper in Jeepers Creepers, though. The Reapers in Blade II are also very cool.

I thought some of the creatures towards the end of Rob Zombie's House of a Thousand Corpses were neat.

I'm going with the Cenobites from Hellraiser...they were all pretty awesome, Pinhead especially.

- Pumpkinhead
- the toothy monsters from The Deadly Spawn
- the tentacle creature from In the Mouth of Madness
- David Cronenberg's weave-like mask from Nightbreed
- Q: The Winged Serpent

There are tons of amazing looking creature effects, but there to this day is nothing in sheer design & realism that is even close to the same level as Alien.

The original painting that started it all:

'Necronom V'

The xenomorph of the original Alien wins.

After seeing the above pic, I am starting to think that Giger might have a sexual motif in his art.
