Angel Season 5 --> Feb 15
20th Century Fox, just Announced the Fifth Season of Angel. The Set will be released on Feb 15, 2005 with the normal MSRP of $ 59.99. Episodes will be in 16x9 Anamorphic Widescreen with Dolby 2.0 sound.
Special Features include:
- Commentary on "Conviction" by JOss Whedon
- Commentary on "Destiny" by Skip Schoolink, David Fury, Steven S. DeKnight, and Juliet Landau
- Commentary on "Soul Purpose" by David Boreanaz, Brent Fletcher, and Christian Kane
- Commnetary on "Your Welcome" by David Fury, Christian Kane, and Sara Thompson
- Commentary on "A Hole in the World" by Joss Whedon, Amy Acker, and Alexis Densiof
- Commentary on "Underneath" by Skip Schoolink, Elizabeth Craft, Sarah Finn, and Adam Baldwin
- Commentary on "Not Fade Away" by Jeffry Bell
- "Hey Kids! It's Smile Time" Featurette
- "Angel 100" Featurette
- "Angel: Choregraphy of a Stunt!" Featurette
- "Angel: The Final Season" Featurette
- "To Live and Die in LA: The Best of Angel"
- "Halos and Horns: Recurring Villianry"
- "Angel Unbound: The Gag ReelS"
Well I have to say that this is one packed set! Although Im a little disapointed that Charisma Charpenter isn't on the "Your welcome" commentary, JOss Whedon isn't on "your welcome" and James Marsters isn't on "Conviction" commentaries. And a Commentary on "Harms Way" with Mercedes McNab would have been funny, along with David Greenwalt on "Girl in question." But with that amount of special features, not to mention the actors on the commentary list, its hard to complain. This looks like the best set of Buffyverse (in terms of dvd presentation) yet.

Yeah, this is probably the best Buffyverse DVD set of all, in terms of extra features, especially compared to most of the BtVS DVD sets, which barely had any cast commentaries until the final season (except for Seth Green in S4). I'm looking forward to the 27-minute-long "Angel: The Final Season" feature and the 9-minute gag reel. Should be fun...I'm pretty excited.
I was also kind of hoping that Charisma would do a commentary for "You're Welcome", but I wasn't exactly holding my breath. I'm happy to see Boreanaz doing a commentary for his directorial debut, though.
Yeah, I was secretly hoping that Mercedes & Amy would do a "Harm's Way" commentary together. I also wanted Kartheiser & Bell to do one for "Origin".

I'm really excited, because I didn't see any of these episodes when they were on the air. I can't stand watching things out of sequence, so I've been watching Angel as it comes out on DVD. Good to hear I won't have to wait too long.

My collecting of the Buffyverse is almost complete. I was just commenting to someone that it is going to be kind of sad not having either Angel or Buffy season to look forward to. I guess the best we have to look forward to now is the Firefly movie, which I'm excited about, but it's still no Buffy or Angel.

That's the season where Angel turns into a puppet, right?

I am looking forward to The Wonderfalls release as well. I find it interesting that Buffy and Angel are about the only shows I know of where the fans actually know who the writers are and follow them to other shows.
