Anyone still play Counter Strike?

I'm looking into starting to play this again. Haven't played in at least 2 or 3 years. Is it still good? Any major changes?

to play source, do you have to preorder half life 2, or can you just download it and play it?

In order to play cs:source now you need to get either the bronze, silver, or gold packages which will include hl2 pre-load. http://www.steampowered.com/

It's well worth it. Source offers a lot of neat features that brings CS to a new life.

Besides, any PC fps gamer worth their salt would want Half-Life 2 anyway.

not able to play HL2 or Source because of my graphics card, but I still play regular Counter Strike. It's still fun.

An online alternative to buying Valve games...and their system for multiplayer games. Check it out: www.steamloaded.com

Download the client, and input your cd-keys from Half-Life, and you'll be able to download/play the latest versions of the games you already own.

played for a while today. didn't do too bad considering it's been 3 or 4 years
but is it all kids now? I mentioned I hadn't played in years and this other player asked if I was alive when grunge was big. He was shocked to be playing with someone who grew up then. WTF? Grunge was like 1991-94 or 95, not exactly ancient times.
then they started using the voice chat. man their voices were high pitched, like prepubescent

I had heard that there isn't multiplayer in HL2.

Counterstrike: Source *is* the multiplayer for HL2.
