TV Guide actually had a full article about it a few weeks ago before they changed the premiere date.
Lots of "familiar" pairings in there (dating models, father/daughter, etc). Only one Dude/Dude group. Two Chick/Chick groups. The rest are mixed.
We should do some sort of fun side game, like a pool or something.

I can foresee the 2 girls from Queens, NY getting on my nerves very quickly. Looks like they have an in-shape older couple this time. I'd rather see them than young fatasses like the pizza brothers from TAR 5.

I hope that the Amazing Race starts to mix up their teams a bit. Same cookie cutter formula.
It's starting to become as bad as Survivor on how the teams are chosen.
Nonetheless, I'll be watching the show.

Can't wait for this to start. The professional wrestling team looks like they'll be good for laughs. I want to see them get stuck trying to walk through a doorway together

Did anyone see the preview on CBS's morning show today? It was a long preview, almost exactly what you'd expect to see in the first several minutes of the actual show (ie interviews and bits about all the teams, then showing the start of the race). One thing that caught my attention, they said "ten countries" in the preview, and it seems like every race, they visit fewer and fewer countries, is that everyone else's impression?

Huh... that's funny that the last season, which I thought was rather stagnantly mired in a few countries (how many eps were they in Egypt, anyways???), actually had more than some of the previous seasons. Guess we'll wait and see.

TV racers heat up
By SARAH KENNEDY

It was only a matter of time.
The Amazing Race -- popular for its globetrotting, extreme adventures and gruelling skill requirements, but void of bikini-clad young hotties -- has opted to sex-up its sixth season.
The cast of the new season, premiering Nov. 16, will include five models, a former Playboy Playmate, two spinning instructors and a former striptease aerobics instructor.
Last season, which featured a line-up of young attractive cast members including a NFL cheerleader, former Miss Teen USA and a male model, was awarded with some of the program's highest ratings numbers to date.
It appears CBS is attempting to up the ante, and the ratings. Two Emmy's don't automatically translate into a boost in viewership.
Ages of this season's contestants range from 23 to 69 and teams consist of father/daughter, husband/wife, best friends, dating and engaged couples, ex-couple and sisters.
Like the last instalment, Amazing Race 6 will have only 11 teams.
Although the show was initially pegged for Saturday nights, producers were able to return it to its popular Tuesday timeslot, which is the reason for the brief delay in season six's premiere.
