The Boondock Saints Special Edition r2 - 11/10
The Boondock Saints will get a new release in Scandinavia on the 10th of november. The disc will come in a digipack, and will most certainly be uncut, since the last release from the same company was. It will be presented in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen with DTS and Dolby Digital 5.1 sound.

I received my copy today, and it is indeed the uncut version of the film. The picture quality of the film perhaps isn't as good as that from a major motion picture from a major american studio, but it's definetily decent. Well worth the money in my opinion.

I keep seeing this on Sky TV but never sitting down and watching it all the way through. Is it any good? and also what makes it an uncut version?. What was in the other version that meant it had to be cut?

Oh it's great. Funny and violent in the same vein as Pulp Fiction, only this is an action movie.
I have never seen the cut version myself, but apparantly there's some blood cut from the scene where the brothers fall from the ventilation shaft into the mob meeting, and there's some blood cut from the scene where Rocco walks into a bar and starts shooting. Apparantly the blood hitting the wall has been cut out.
