Good episode. Lake Bell and Rhona Mitra both looked particular appealing.
I cannot say anything good about Monica Potter, as I am still angry at her for taking two hours of my life with Patch Adams.

Edwin Poole gets a free weekend pass from the looney bin, it would seem, and gets himself appointed counsel for a man charged with murder (with a voluntary confession in tow). Lori gets assigned to help Edwin because she has prosecutory experience in the DA office. The client isn't the nicest guy in the world. Lori is stuck defending a man she doesn't want to defend. Edwin has a good cross, but then blanks on the close, so Lori has to come up with a close on the spot. In the end, the client is convicted.
In order to destroy the key witness that could pin a shoplifting conviction on the firm's biggest client, Shore has Sally get the dirt on a clerk, and Shore pretty much promised the clerk to unload a ton of dirt to undermine him in public court. Sally is taken aback by Shore's legal viciousness. Later, Sally decides that Shore was putting on the show not for the clerk but for Sally herself. It appears that Shore has pushed another woman away.
The display Shore put on was pretty strong, over the top, and showed a pitbull mentality and ferociousness. Lori's subplot showed some of her legal prowess, and compassion for even her clients that don't deserve it. Overall, not a great episode, and slow in spots.

Interesting story last night with two lawyers doing something that they may not typically do.
I just love the rivalry or whatever between Alan and Mark Valley's character. "Just to make this clear, it's ok for me to make fun of you" Good stuff.
Next week's preview

I thought Larry Miller was great this episode. And Monica Potter was actually given something to do that had some substance to it.
I was wondering how long Sally/Shore would last...
Not enought Rhona or Mark Valley in this ep.
Denny Crane asking Lori for a hug after she shot down his offer for one.

I finally watched this episode. This show is still not really grabbing me yet.
I finally figured out who Monica Potter looks like: a grown up, blonder, hotter version of Patty on "American Dreams."
