I've got a handful of DVDs I want to trade into a store, but NOT if they are promo copies. I tried to check the ISBN numbers on the back with Amazon's database, but ran into a confusing issue.
These DVDs I have list an ISBN number and on Amazon they list a ASIN number for the same title (different numbers). Nothing about the DVDs look like promos (I got them free from work), but I am just not comfy selling them if they are ideed promos. Are there ways to tell about this with catalog or bar code numbers?

check the isbn/UPC at dvdempire ..or use dvdprofiler ..ASIN #'s are amazon's numbers they create .. they do not list UPC/ISBN codes at amazon..

Yeah, I spent a good half hour trying to Google and look over other sites with ISBN numbers. I kept coming up with tons of sites that use ISBN for books, but not movies.
