Illusive Tracks (Skenbart) - 2003 Swedish Peter Dalle film: DVD release?
I just caught this film last night at DC's Reel Affirmation Film Festival and I was floored, what a fun fantastic film. Director Peter Dalle effortlessly complies several genres into one to create a very memorable, funny film, that tells a post WWII story of several individuals and their train ride to Berlin. Great dialogue, stunning camerawork and a cast that embellishes their characters and cinematic nods to Bergman, Hitchcock and Chaplin, this film truly entertains and succeeds in so many ways.

yep this was a really refreshing film with great slapstick scenes and a hero you can laugh at but also feel sorry for as his good intentions don't work as planned
There is a Swedish disc available with DTS and English subs + anamorphic picture. Hope this is not just a festival film but also gets a regular release in several other countries.
BTW have you seen Swedish flick 'Smala Sussie' by Ulf Malmros with Tuva Novotny ? Another winner from up north. Pays tribute to lots of films. The director really loves film especially 'Pulp Fiction' which narrative structure he borrows and of course makes fun about it. Recommended and the Swedish disc with English subs is available at CD-WOW
