Wow, just brought Annie Special Edition and

I have to say the Special Features are useless and terrible! The "Act of Annie" and The "Age of Annie" are really useless. *Thumbs down*

I thought the main reason to avoid was F/S.

Maybe they just figured that anyone buying a F/S movie wouldn't really care about special features.

Watch the extras - and you can find out.
She's very cute, actually.

I interviewed Aileen Quinn when the SE was released, and she was honestly one of the most pleasant and cheery individuals I think I have ever talked to. Just genuinely nice.

As for the extras, they are geared toward children, which to me seems very appropo, considering we're talking about Annie.

I just picked up the old version at a pawn shop for $4. I would rather have W/S than extras any day, especially if they are aimed at children.

I would have thought that the fact it's a 1.33:1 cropping of a 2.35:1 film would be enough to earn this view, extras or not.

Columbia/Tri-Star very quietly fixed the issues right before it went OOP. There are corrected copies out there, although there's no way to tell without actually watching the disc (they aren't marked differently).

Where are some of the noticeable errors?

Here is a review of the original WS Annie release:

And here is the additional information on the framing issues, including screenshots:

Unfortunately, I still have the original release and never pursued getting a corrected copy. Mainly because CTS didn't make that easy to do without rebuying it.

Thanks for the info, I found out mine is the corrected version.
