Nintendo 64 controller purchasing help
Hi everyone. I recently picked up a used N64 with 1 controller, and would like to buy 3 more. I know generally third party controllers aren't usually very good. But I know very little about the controllers available for the N64. I don't even know if anyone is still making new ones.
Does anyone have a recommendation of where I should get additional N64 controllers, and what brand I should get?
- David

I agree, Gamestop has them really cheap, although the ones near us are getting a bit short on N64 stuff.
Another place to try is places like Blockbuster and Hollywood Video. Ones near me cleared out all of their N64 stuff this past summer and there were some real bargains on games but also, they had some misc. hardware.
You can also post a wanted at places like Craigslist.org...hopefully someone has some to get rid of for cheap. http://www.craigslist.org/
Finally, there's always ebay... http://search.ebay.com/N64-controlle...ectZ1QQfromZR8

I always thought these things were a real pain in the butt to get. First it was a big jump in price from what the SNES controllers were. Second they NEVER went on sale even long after the next generation came about. Third, even though I like the longer analog stick they wear out much easier.

Yes, the analog stick wears out pretty easily. Be wary of used controllers...
