Question for those that hate SW fans

How many times have you seen the Star Wars trilogy, either in OT or SE form?

It has to be over 500 times by now over the years. I have watched my dvd's at least 20 times since getting them last month.

Please tell me you're joking.

I could understand watching portions of the movies on such a frequent basis (I do that a lot myself), but watching the entire trilogy 20 times in less than a month would mean that you have basically watched Star Wars movies for 6 hours a day, almost every day, for the past month.

I've watched my DVD set twice now. I have no clue how many times in my life.

I do hate internet Star Wars fans though. You know the kind I'm talking about.

0-20, I guess. Might spill over into 21-50. I haven't given it much thought.

But, let me clarify: I don't only hate SW fans. As a jock, my hatred extends to nerds of all kinds. I'm looking at YOU, Video Game Forum Regulars!

I have to say over 500 times as well. As a kid I went every week to see theses movies in theatres, so add that with numerous vhs viewings thru 80's-90's. Add in SE in 97 and dvd bootlegs of the originals when I first got a dvd player. Now to 2004 we have the real dvd's out...I love them.

Not that you have any way of proving it, but I don't believe either of you two and I never will.

When Star Wars first showed up on HBO (or was it Showtime?) back in the early 80's, I think I attempted to watch it every single time it came on. Ditto Empire and Jedi. My father still gets ill at the thought of SW, simply for how many times I made him watch it.

I don't hate SW fans, I simply don't understand. Yes, I was a SW freak when I was a kid. Had the toys, watched the movies, loved it all.

But as an adult, I find that the movies really aren't very good. The dialog is frequently painful, the acting is awful, and the story is eh. I certainly don't hate them, but I don't particularly enjoy them either. They're mediocre B movies, which I have no problem with. I just don't understand how/why people obsess over them the way they do.
