Videodrome egg?

Does anyone know if there are ever any easter eggs on Criterion DVDs? I happened to have the supplemental disc of Videodrome in my player standing idle on the menu screen for about 5 minutes. Then I pressed the directional button over to select "Fear on Film". What happened next was really strange. The screen started to shift the images around and blinked green and generally looked as if it was some sort of disrupted broadcast noise...this went on for about 5-10 seconds and then my player automatically ejected the DVD. I don't know if this was something wrong with my disc or my player, but it definitely fit the Videodrome atmosphere. I don't know if it was a certain combo of buttons I pressed or if it was just because it was idle for awhile. Anyone else experience this?

Criterion generally avoids easter eggs, if my experience is any indication. I don't recall ever finding one, at least in the discs I have. I searched for eggs while reviewing "Videodrome" and couldn't find any. That doesn't mean there aren't any, necessarily. But the fact that your player ejected the disc makes me think it's a glitch or error rather than an intended feature.
