A look at how FOX will do Wednesday's games (http://msn.foxsports.com/story/3077760) Why not do a doubleheader, one at 6 Easter time the other at 9?

Is it FOX's decision on the start time for the games?

I don't know but hving them played at the same time is idiotic, the blame should probably go towards Bud Selig

Looks like all the regional FSN are playing the opposite game of what will be shown on your main Fox channel. I'll get the Cards-'stros on Fox but be able to flip to Yanks-Sox on FSN-MW.
I'm ok with it. They probably gambled hoping a west coast team would make the playoffs and a later starting time would have been possible.

They've done this for the last couple years on the Game 1/Game 2 overlap. Do what I do - put a 2nd TV in the living room (since your local FSN will carry the alternate game) and watch both.
FOX does this to maximize the national primetime rating.

Well in reality, I'll be catching up with my Replay backlog of recordings on the main tv and have the Yanks/Sawx on the secondary tv. It is a great night to catch up since the debates are taking out 2 hours of primetime. Couldn't care less about Cards/Stros (or the debate of course). Sorry.

no day games because they cannot charge prime time advert rates during the day.
it's that simple.
why they didnt stagger the games is another story.
must have been a schedule availablility issue for stadium or time slot on tv.

Would it matter if there were a West Coast team still in the playoffs? I'd think that games being played on eastern time would all have to cater to peak times in the east because of the team's own markets. If there was a west coast time, i'd figure it would be easier to stagger the times of the games.
