NYPD Blue 10/12

I'm having a real hard time caring about the show this season and I'm glad it's coming to an end.

It seems like it's been the same episode every week. Laura and Rita make pissy comments to each other, Andy and Junior fight, and then Andy and the new Lt fight.

It seems like Jones and Medavoy are the only ones actually working cases.

I missed the very end of the episode with Andy looking over his old cases. Anything happened there of interest?

nope, the one case they sort of mentioned ended with the guy already being dead.. but it was only said as sort of an after thought...

yeah this ep was almost like it should have just been an extra 30min tacked on to the end of last week.. Throw out the one case they worked and that was about it... yawn...

I have not watched the show in years, came back this season but so far the gritty cop show seems to be spending 90% of the screen time in the squad room. Guess it's to cut cost or something?

One would think that with this being the last season they would ramp up the cases some more or something.. But then again, the show has been sort of caught and passed by other shows like CSi and so on... Not all that shocking really, one can't really still be ground breaking after all these years, all shows sort of wheeeze to the finish line rather then charge..

ah I'll still keep watching just to see how much the train wreck everyone as the show wraps up..

I am in complete agreement. I was reading as this ep was playing, because there wasn't anything new.

If they are going to have Andy's son kidnapped make it for more than half an hour. Then they should go off on a kidnapping tangent for a couple of episodes. And while they are at it - they can kill off the new lieutenant. And have Jacqueline and Bonnie spice up things a little by showing some skin.

Damn straight. Rita was great at the end. Bonnie has the worst fake NY accent I've ever heard.

Fixed.

The whole diabolical plot of Andy's stalker seems a little too "movieish" for what is supposed to be a realistic view of NYC detectives.
I hope it turns out to be David Caruso.

This episode was the first time I have noticed it - and how bad it was.

I am glad I am not alone thinking that for 3 or 4 episodes I have been watching the same one over and over. Get on with the Andy case - stop dragging it out. Go talk to your union delegate and get the Lt tossed back to the rat squad and get a real Lt to run the squad. This Lt would be about as productive as a DA that refused to make deals, you can not be black/white when it comes to dealing with crime, it is a very grey arena.

When Theo said he rode around in the car with the stalker, I immediately thought of the comic book they gave us in school with a young boy getting in a car with a stranger and a cop finding the dude beating the holy crap out of kid.
