is it possible for the general public to buy these? How would I find out when they go on sale etc?

I believe they put a very small number of tix aside for the public. Not sure if it is lottery style.

Hopefully they put more out to the public than World Series tickets. The Cardinals are making only 5000 tickets to each game available to the public. You have to preregister for a random drawing to get a chance to order them online.

When it was Camden Yards in '93, I only remember a few thousand being made available to the public. 95% of the tickets go to MLB and the host team (where all the 81-game season ticket holders were guaranteed while the 27-game season ticket holders were put in a lottery for a number of tickets).

When it was in Chicago 2 years ago, or was it last year? Anyhow, a few months prior to the event, they had an auction for them...

Sadly, I didn't get them, so when the other route, broker..

I woud say having gone to all the events, futures, home run derby, celebrity softball game, all-star game etc.

I would say save yourself the money if you don't win them, at face value. I found the all-star to be pretty boring, and the same for the futures game. The home run derby was cool since I had outifield seats, and the celebrity thing was sorta cool, esp for you got a woman who loves that kind of stuff... I would just buy those 2..

I agree completely. I saw it all at Camden Yards in '93 and the only part I enjoyed was the HR derby and that was mainly because of the whole aura of the B&O Warehouse as a target.

I thought you can only buy tickets in a package. Meaning you buy one ticket that allows you to all of the event (including the game).

Oh, you're right! I completely forgot about that, since I didn't get picked, that wasn't a problem.

I had to go through a broker, so in that case they split up the tickets, and you can buy tickets to just what you want, I bought tickets to all events... However, I paid way more for them, that's for sure.

If you can get tickets for face value get them all, if you go to a scalper or something, get just hr derby and stuff.
