X-men animated series (90's), when on DVD?

Anybody know if theres any plans for the mid 90's series of the X-men cartoons coming to DVD? I use to really love that show and would love to own all the seasons on DVD. Im already collection Batman the Animated Series and im just waiting for this and complete seasons of Justice League and id be cool!

My guess is that Buena Vista may get to it eventually, but certainly not before they release the Spider-Man series from the 90's. So, if/when that gets announced, then ask about X-Men.

Thegame, there have been 5 or so DDVs released with compilations of X-men episodes already. However, they are very hard to find, and can run you quite a bit.

The fact that these single releases are hard to find or even OOP, would lead one to believe that season sets of this series might, just might be on the horizon.

It's more due to the fact that the original DVD's were released by Universal and they no longer have the rights to the series. Buena Vista is in charge of it and their lone release (X-Men - The Legend of Wolverine) is still in print.

All Agreed.

The TICK

Legend of the Super-Heroes / Challenge of the Super Friends (the rest of the seasons in box sets)

Justice League (2001)

Teen Titans (2003)

Batman Beyond (box set needed of ALL episodes)

Spider-Man (the rest of 1967, Amazing 1978, 1981, ...and His Amazing Friends 1981, 1994, 1999 )

X-Men (1992, and a Evolution box set)

Fantastic Four (1967, 1978, 1994)

Silver Surfer (1998)

The Avengers (1999)

All should be released on DVD in box sets. Seems a waste, considering their audience isn't getting any younger.

I was hoping for good news. I have this theme music as my ringtone, and I'd love the chance to watch these episodes again and not make the time to catch them on Jetix.

I found this website via Google...

This site sells a 4 disc DVD set of the entire animated series >>> http://www.buyraredvds.com/product_i...products_id=37 If that link doesn't work go to the main site and it should be on their home page.

Not sure how good the quality etc is as I haven't placed an order... but I am tempted.

I don't know...I'd be very weary of a deal like that. It seems like a similar deal was found before and it was pretty much a bootleg.

this one was going for close to 200 bucks around x2 time....it can now be found for under 25 used....media play had a ton of these in the used bins for under 10...i think they bought out the rest of the warehouse.

Yeah I suspected it was a bootleg... shame though! It would be nice if they got their act together and just release a box set!

Ok, I'm about to delve into something I'm not sure is allowed in the forums, so someone stop me if I'm about to get banned.

I purchased a set of X-men DVDs somewhere (possibly off the internet). Now I kno I can't discuss where I got it, but I can discuss the quality of the episodes when they arrive, correct?

I'm basing this on that thread about the quality of Star Wars bootlegs from a while back. I just thought that if someone was super interested in the X-men series (like myself) that the general information can be known. I'm not condoning it in any manner, just thought it should be out there.

@ ignition

Did you purchase the entire series on DVD? Or just the DVD's that you can currently get?

i think he means the unofficial dvds that are sold at comic shows and across ebay as asian collectors series.
