The Disney Plat List?

So is Disney released the top 10 of the most popular titles to DVD right?

1. Snow White
2. Beauty and the Beast
3. The Lion King
4. Aladdin

What are the other 6?
they plan to release 2 plat titles a year, so they will be done by 2007? What will they do after they get all of them released.

Bambi and Cinderella for 2005
The Little Mermaid and Lady and the Tramp for 2006.
I believe The Jungle Book and 101 Dalmatians for 2007.
That's from www.ultimatedisney.com
The order might change for the 06/07 ones from what I've seen.
Don't know about your other questions, sorry.

They'll probably just continue with their other films. I don't expect them to just stop at 10 when these are selling so well.

They won't be done by 2007. They added 4 more to the list when they announced there would be 2 each year (starting next year). They are:

Fantasia
Peter Pan
Pinocchio
Sleeping Beauty

After they get all of them released, they'll probably release them again, hopefully in HD.

Isn't Sleeping Beauty in a special edition right now?

The current Sleeping Beauty DVD is perfect the way it is and I don't see any difference at all between the 2 disc SEs (Sleeping Beauty & Alice In Wonderland) and the 2 disc Platinums, except the lettering at the top of the platinum boxes.

I really doubt that Sleeping Beauty was added as a Platinum title.

Sleeping Beauty doesn't make too much sense.

I am looking forward to Bambi, Cinderella & Little Mermaid...good movies there.

The older movies are so much better, I'm glad they're coming out in Platinum Editions.

The current Sleeping Beauty went OOP at the end of last year. The Platinum Edition one won't be out until Oct 2009.

Unless they actually release the unedited version, which I doubt that they'll do.

Just wait until they add the Jessica Simpson/Clay Akin duet. Then and only then will it truly be a "Special Edition". Believe me they will find a way to F this master piece up as well.

How in the world does a Clay Aiken video that resides on the disc but not as a part of the actual movie F it up?

Woooooah... umm, first allow me to apologize to any "Clay Aiken" fans out there! My reply was intended to be very, VERY SARCASTIC! But... at the same time I was trying to convey my opinion of Disney's history of tinkering with things that shouldn't be tinkered with, I.E. Aiken's latest appearance on the Aladdin set, he (Aiken) is not relevant to this movie whatsoever, please someone explain why he would be! Oh wait, right, except as a marketing tool (sarcasm).

Second, next time I'll think twice before posting because obviously I (hal9000), being just a lowly "member" am a COMPLETE IDIOT (how in the world...?). I didn't realize this just yet but thanks for pointing it out to me. Sorry I overstepped the politically correct boundaries of DVD Talk.

First let me say.....I'm not a Clay Aiken fan.

You are correct. He is not relevant to Aladdin. This would explain why his performance is not integrated into the actual film. The song, "Proud of your Boy" would have changed the overall plot/pacing of the story. He's just a guy that was chosen to sing the song.

....I also thought he did a pretty good job.

Overreact much? Regardless, i don't see how using Aiken is an example of "tinkering with things that shouldn't be tinkered with."

How in the world you decide to go on a rant about your DVDTalk member status is beyond me. Lay off the Friday night booze posting.

HAHA, you do have a sense of humor after all!
The funniest of which is your tireless defense of Clay Aiken, can you recommend any of his cds?

Thanks in advance buddy!
