Never say never!

If at all, maybe to tie in with the sequel/follow up.

I read a report from some convention where Rob said he didn't want to go back a redo the DVD but he is contractually obligated... So I'd say maybe at best.

Rob said he didn't want to go back a redo the DVD
I thought he had to cut out a lot to avoid an NC-17 rating. Now he doesn't want to go back and do it the way he wanted? That's frustrating because I also only rented it waiting for the unrated version. I hope he doesn't do a crappy job just to get it done. You'd think someone would volunteer to do it for him.

was the problem going back and re-scoring the movie? or scoring the cut aspects of the movie?

I forgot, but I think I read that somewhere.

Sequel doesn't come out until December 2005 so I wouldn't expect a new release any time soon

i have a feeling we wont see this movie revisited until maybe a 10th anniversary. especially if it seems like Rob Zombie doesnt have any interest in doing it anymore. he was all into it at one time, saying theres so much footage cut out, then he says theres hardly anything cut out that he wants back in, and now word is he doesnt wanna do it at all. he sounds like the anti-lucas.

The scoring of the unrated cut was one of the original problems. The original cut, back in 2000, was only a work print without any final music.

But in the last interview I read he said, he didn't want to do a new version because he felt like it was like going back and retaking your bad high school pictures after you became cool...

I still think we'll get it around one of the sequel's releases, theater or DVD. He's probably just using the "I don't want to do it" thing because he's sick of talking about it.

Then again, what the hell do I know....
