YAMUT (Yet another mashup thread)

We haven't had one of these in a while.

Anyhow, here's the Kleptone's A Night at the Hip Hopera. All the individual tracks, as well as 1 big zip file, are being mirrored at this site.

Nice stuff.

Stevevt, holy shit, yr the google god! I've been looking for the Purple Album!

Do either of you know who did a mash-up of Tweet's "Oops (Oh My)" with XTC's "Making Plans for Nigel?" It's totally sweet. I just got a mash-up 12" in the mail the other day -- Beck's "Debra" and Pharrell's "Frontin'." If I can find someone with analog-to-digital recording equipment, I'll g-mail it or dropload it to somebody with webspace. I think that it'd interest a lot of people here.

And I just found out that Kno (maker of the totally awesome White Albulum) used the Os Mutantes' "Ave, Lucifer" for his remix of "Lucifer."

Yes DJLinus, that's it, Introinspection if I'm not mistaken. He made a couple of follow ups and some other stuff after, it used to be tough to track them down but, thankfully he made them all available on his site.

Also along the same lines (mixtape), I recommend hunting down Uneasy Listening Vol. 1 by DJ Z-Trip and DJ P. It is by far my favorite mix CD. I bought it a couple of years ago, but I'm sure it's available in the usual places. If you want it on vinyl, they've got it at http://www.hiphopsite.com.

Whoa - just checked ebay. I could make a small fortune if I sold my copy.
