We could have had a good discussion about scalping in this thread. Sadly, it will go off on a tangent about your use of the word "costed," never to return on-topic.

It's not a rip-off to you if you are willing to pay that much for it. Presumably, no one is going to spend that much on it if they don't feel it's worth that cost to them.

Wow, I can't imagine paying that much for a club gig. This seems to be a relatively new phenomenon, but I'll be sure to remember it next time I'm looking to see one of the current overhyped bands. I'd been planning on seeing Interpol in Chicago at the Riviera this month, but I didn't realize the show would sell out and now tickets are going for around $100 for a pair on ebay, compared to the $20 face value. They're a good live act, but I'm not paying $50 per ticket. That's more then I paid to see them at the Curiosa show I went to, plus I got to see Mogwai, the Cure and the Rapture.

If you're stupid enough to spend the $185 AND stupid enough to spend the $185 to see Simple Plan, then, hey, you deserve it.
Good luck to the 10-year-old whose rich parents buy him those tickets after a stop to buy some new clothes for the show at the local Hot Topic.

To be fair, the $185 is for two tickets, not one.

It is still a 500% increase, though. I wouldn't buy it, I don't even know who "Simple Plan" is. If I were to buy a ticket to see them, I would just keep thinking "It costed too much".

How much for one ticket? How much for three tickets? How much for four tickets?

I think the $92 part is a convenience fee.

I paid a grand total of $18 to see Interpol 2 times in the last year or so. $20 is the maximum I will pay for a show, and even then I'll only shell out that kind of cash for my absolute favorites.
