Anyone see any reviews from the Toronto Film Festival? I've been waiting for this for awhile.

I saw this in early January at the Palm Spring International Film Festival - I really enjoyed it, a great cast, a simple yet very entertaining film. Bernard Hill an actor I admire alot is wonderful, definately recommended.

What's the story here? Is this finally getting a US release, sure took awhile. The print at the PSIFF at the end there had a MPAA rating #, denoting it had been screened by the folks of the Classification and Rating's Administrative board, which I would assume is one of the first steps the producers are taking to release this picture here in the states.

I saw it at the Boston Film Festival. Not a perfect movie, but I definitely enjoyed it. Colm Meaney is fantastic as always.

About time Colm Meaney started getting roles in Irish movies. He hasn't been in nearly enough, which is surprising.

Andrea was on the Richard and Judy show the other day and said it will be released on March 11th, 2005 in the US.

Looks like March 11 2005 will be the US release date. A name change for the movie as they have now made it "The Boys & Girl From County Clare" (Official Website) (http://www.boysandgirlfromcountyclare.com)

Bah. That "and girl" shoehorned in there disrupts the whole flow of the title

I don't like it either. It looks and sounds out of place. I guess they want to draw in the "love story" crowd. And I'm assuming the date of March 11th is to try and capitalize on the St. Paddy's holiday angle the following Thursday on the 17th.

Where the hell did she get a shamrock that big? It's like a mutant godzilla shamrock.

Although it's not yet on the official US Comedy Festival's site (http://guide.hbocomedyfestival.com/index.html) , it's been reported quite a few places over the past week or so that Andrea Corr won the "Best Actress in a comedy" award for her role in the movie.
