This is the first show I watched on CBS in a long time (perhaps since Newhart. I can't recall too much in the interim time.) It's not really so bad, either. Anybody else watching?

One thing that surprised me is the integrity lesson that the kid learned last episode was totally wasted with him stealing that bat and attempting to cover up what might have been something else that one of the players did wrong.

Since I missed the pilot this is the first episode for me. It seemed a little heavy-handed at times (the mom and daughter talk in the crack house for example) but overall it was pretty good. Can someone tell me whether Michael Jai White and Tony Kornheiser were in the pilot as well or was this a special occassion?
