I have AcroIEHelper.AcroIEHlprObj.1 running as a BHO. It shows up in BHODemon as a benign file. Does anyone know what it does?

If it doesn't do much, I am going to remove it with Hijackthis.

Thanks, X.

I see it has something to do with Adobe Acrobat Reader. If I get rid of the BHO using Hijackthis will I still be able to look at PDF's?

I'm inclined to believe that if you remove this BHO, you will not be able to view PDF files in Internet Explorer. However, you should still be to view PDF files using the standalone Adobe Reader.

Ditto

BHO=Browser Helper Object

You can always test the BHO by disabling it through BHO Demon by uncecking the File.
