SAMSUNG bashers need not apply to this thread...I've heard a lot of talk over at the AVS FORUM concerning the delay of the eagerly awaited Samsung HD-941 DVD player. From what I've read about this upconverter player there's an HDMI issue that needs to be resolved. Once resoved we can finally experience properly displayed 4:3 images (without distortion) in DVI/HDMI mode and a revised chip (not the awful one used on the HD-841) regarding white and black crush issues. Now if the player would just finally be released. Last I read Samsung has delayed it until some time in November. I spoke to a BESTBUY manager who knew of the delay but only so far as mid October. Anyone know more info regarding the release of this unit?
