CSI - Season premiere 9/23

"Viva Las Vegas" Episode #501.

Spoiler:
The CSI unit investigates four fatalities on one wild night in Las Vegas: a nightclub shooting, a stripper found dead in a hotel suite, a man found electrocuted in his bathtub, and a body clad in an alien costume found near Area 51.

I can only hope that CSI returns to its form from the first 3 seasons. Last season was pretty lame. Being further diluted with a 3rd one probably doesn't help.

Didn't they already have a case of
Spoiler:
someone being electrocuted
last season?

With two other CSI's happening, I think their well might be starting to run dry.

Another season of cleavage shots with Marg...I'm SO there!

Seriously though, I just hope the season isn't devoted to Sara's drinking problem...bad enough we had to spend a whole year with Gil going deaf back in Season Three.

Marg Helgenberg looks better with each season.

I hope Peterson's ragging the new guy isn't something they want to instill more of each week for comic relief.

OMG!!! Poor Marg is heartbroken. Spare us the melodrama in the lives of these characters already.

IMO, the motives behind these crimes, not to mention the conclusions they reach, are becoming less and less believable. This is almost like watching a fantasy.

Decent premiere. I enjoyed the opening and Greg will be a nice addition in the field.

The humor bits at the start and end of the episode fell somewhat flat, but at least they are trying some levity.

Loved how Shondra had the hots for Warrick, but kept her distance from Eads. So will Shondra be back or not?

What a waste for Reiko. After watching Sara tonight, I wouldn't have missed her. Give me Reiko!

meh

The attempts at humor failed.

The case Nick and Sara worked on was pretty lame.

Lame screwing over Kathryn like that.

I want her more than anyone to be happy in her life.

The four stories didn't work for me. Way too much going on, far too little time to develop anything. And I sure as hell hope they didn't just use Reiko for this one episode, but it would appear as if that is the case. Here's hoping for her return.

I get the impression the real-world events surrounding this show had a huge effect on the script rewrite: the beginning had Greg out in the field and Reiko in the lab. Greg was going to be the replacement for Nick and Sara (since the actors were fired). The storyline for Nick and Sara was added in and the beginning was rewritten. By the end of the episode, Reiko is gone and Greg might very well be back in the lab.

You mean Greg. But yes, it was quite obvious. They should have just started over and re-written Reiko's part.

So were the actors for Nick and Sara really fired or did they decide to hire them back? Sorry. I don't follow this show that often, I just catch an ep. here and there.

Is it just me, or are the CSI series turning into refuges for 24 alums? Michelle is on CSI, Klaw-dia is on New York, maybe if they finally decide to waste Kim we'll see her in Miami!

Good premiere. Better than most of the eps last season. Not sure I like the new DNA chick though.

Finally got around to watching this...

I loved the nod and wink when Sara and Nick showed up to their crime scene and made a comment about how they were late to work.

They both wanted more cash in the contract and the producers decided to just say no. So they were fired for a time. They then worked at contract nogations and got their jobs back.

I really really liked the episode. I'm not much of a fan of the other CSI shows while NY is still to new to tell. Vegas still is my favorite of the group.

good episode, but i din't like the 4 different crimes. it seems like each one wrapped up too easily.
