We do this every year. Pick a day where TV is best, right now.
For me, I'd say Wednesday:
L&O
Lost
Rescue Me
CSI:NY
Quintuplets

I would say Sunday:
The Simpsons
Malcolm In The Middle
Cold Case
Alias
Desperate Housewives
Arrested Development
and maybe Boston Legal
Thursday is in second.
Of course, whatever night The Amazing Race airs will jump to the head of the list (I am assuming it will still be Saturday when it eventually does start to air).

I would tend to to say Thursday only night with 2 shows.
Without a Trace and CSI.
But in reality its sunday with Arrested Development, whether its reruns or the new stuff it's still a leap better than anything else

Tues:
Gilmore Girls
NYPD Blue
Fri:
Joan of Arcadia
The only three hours of TV I must see every week. I'll be spending 6 or 7 more hours a week on other shows like Crossing Jordan or Las Vegas, but there's no comparison.

There's no competition, it's pretty much been Tuesday for a long time. Scrubs and GG are the 2 best shows on TV, plus One Tree Hill and various MTV, CC, and FX series. Veronica Mars was really good tonight and it's moving to Tuesdays. I also watch LCS and Father of the Pride, which are ok, but not of the quality of the other shows.

Monday for me, for right now:
Las Vegas
Listen Up
2 and a Half Men
Everybody Loves Raymond
WWE Raw
Monday Night Football
Thursday is great too, as is Tuesday.

The Fox Sunday line-up hasn't started yet, so I'll go with Tuesday (Nip/Tuck and The Amazing Race).
BUT, The Amazine Race ended this week, so I'll go with Thursday (The Apprentice, Survivor, Joey, and Coming Attractions).

I will say this though. Quantity-wise, assuming you don't include the NFL, Wednesday is probably at the top for me:
That 70s Show
Smallville
Lost
The Bachelor
King of Queens
West Wing - although I am on the verge of dropping it
Law & Order
Rescue Me
South Park - new eps coming in October

It used to be Tuesdays: Big Brother and The Amazing Race. Now its Thursdays: Survivor. Even though I did enjoy yesterday, Wednesday: America's Next Top Model and Veronica Mars. But my vote goes for Thursday anyway.

I like Wednesday in terms of shows that hold my interest
-Lost
-CSI:NY
Thursday is okay
-Joey
-CSI
Sundays I watch HBO typically, but their new shows are so spotty it's difficult to get a routine. I did watch Sopranos, 6FU, and then Entourage. The jury is still out on that bail bondsman show.
Last Fall I had a great Wednesday night line-up.
-Smallville
-Angel
-Karen Sisco
Of course two out of those three no longer remain, and the first one plays opposite something I will most likely try to start watching instead.
I really miss Karen Sisco; while she was fictitous, the show was like spending an hour each week with a really cool woman you wished you could ask out.

Seriously, 2 or 3 leftover college games from Saturday + 4 pro games on Sunday = 7 hours of football delight.
