Help naming this movie?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could help me with the name of a movie that I caight a very small portion of but now want to go back and watch the whole thing.

It takes place on this Italian Island fairly recent. Has this wife and mother who is either "crazy" or "trapped." Which ever is the case the rest of the small fishing village and even her own husband just dont get her at all.

I know that is vague but hopefully it rings a bell with someone.

No not that one I have already seen thata and would have recognized it.

The scene I saw was ......a young son was "hiding" his mom in the caves near the cliffs and the entire village thinks she is dead in the sea. The woman is very beautiful with curly dark hair and striking eyes. I have seen her before but can not place the name.

Thats all I got any clues let me know
