New Europe album - Start From the Dark - any thoughts?

A friend of mine sent me a promo of this album. Overall, I kinda like it. The "Got to Have Faith" is an upbeat rocker, and there is the usual balled in "Settle for Love".

I'm still in the process of listening to it, and I will post a review soon.

Anyone else hear this and have any comments?

Not bad. Might take a few more listens to get used to.

Spirit of the Underdog is the track that I'm playing the most.

Does it sound at all like old Europe, or did they change their sound to be more "modern"? I generally hate when a 80s hair band tries to be modern/alternative/grunge/hardcore/industrial/whatever-new-sound in their later stuff. They just alienate their old school fans, and they never win any new fans because they'll just say "But it's Europe!"

I might listen to it...maybe. I love the instrumental to "The Final Countdown" as its the theme some for the Detroit Pistons.

There is a joke in here somewhere.
