Why did Micheal McCary leave Boyz II Men?

I am a huge fan of the group, and I was dissapointed after picking up their "Throwback" album that he is no longer with the group. I know he had back problems for awhile which kept him out of some touring for the last two albums, but was that the real reason? Other say that he was tired of the direction the Boyz were going in and not expanding, but staying in a doldrum like state Musically. Still, there are others who said that he wanted to just spend time with his wife, and he couldn't do that and offer the commitment that it meant being in the group.
I have never heard the Boyz mention this ever, or read anything about it, so I would really like to know the real reason for Micheal "Bass" McCary's departure from Boyz II Men.

But, based on what I saw on a doc somewhere [vh1, maybe?] i'd be willing to bet that it was his back..

Isn't it ironic that the new album is called throwback then? :D

According to this site, Michael is now an executive in a company called Blue Man group (not the music band) so it sounds like maybe it was his back.

Well, as long as they're wasn't any bad blood spilled, then that's cool. WOw, he's an exceutive? He's the one that never talked at all and was the most shy? How ironic
