November 23rd, 2004 will see the release of Sarah's
"Afterglow Live"! Filmed in
Toronto, ON in the summer of 2004, this CD and DVD
combo set will feature over 2 1/2 hours of never
before seen footage and new versions of Sarah
classics.

"Afterglow Live" DVD features:
-5.1 studio sound quality
-23 tracks on DVD, 15 on CD
-12 min documetary featuring an interview with Sarah
and behind the scenes footage

Well, after seeing her on tour this year, I'm definatley picking this one up. Aside from the great setlist, it was a great show visually with the rear projected elements and really cool lighting and stage design.

Man, I wish she had done "Full of Grace"....my favorite of hers.

Some weird transitions in that concert....I will remember you into Ice??? Angel into Fear??? And for the love of Nancy would she friggin stop doing Ice Cream??? ARGH!!!! I know it's a fan favorite, but I just don't get it, it's one of her worst songs, imo.

Glad to see this. I refused to pay to see her again after seeing her twice on her last tour and being treated to not only the exact same set lists but the exact same "spontaneous" between-song banter, the same notes hit, etc. But I'll certainly rent this.

I saw her video for World on Fire thanks to Itunes. Interesting video with the social commentary.

Its one of my favorite songs that she does.

The live CD doesn't look too bad.. but its missing anything from before Surfacing, except Hold On. :(

Oh well.. I'll still be picking this up.

I've seen different things. I've seen a regular jewel case picture and a longer amaray style picture. I guess we'll find out next week.

And apparently there are two different releases: amaray and jewel case versions...i guess similar to the Tori Amos release recently.

So what the deal with their big warning on the cover? This ugly-ass sticker is not removable from the cover and says "The CD in this release is protected against unauthorized duplication. (etc) ". I thought this was a really stupid idea, since this is primarily a DVD release with a bonus CD, who cares if it gets copied?
While I appreciate being warned, I always copy my CDs onto blank CD-Rs (my car CD player puts linear scratches in all my CDs :down:

I agree. Especially since the cd-rom portion of the cd allows you to send copies of the songs on the cd to 'family and friends' .. Interesting.

BTW...just a random note...

"Silence" (her duet with Delirium) has now been added to her setlist. Anyone catching her on the second leg will probably see this song. BUT, you will also see several songs cut: Blackbird, Dirty Little Secret, I Will Remember You, Ice.

Also, you might want to pick up the Canadian R1 DVD release of "I Will Remember You." Fantastic documentary produced by CBC. And only $10.

Yep. it's right there on her website under "downloads." Along with the PCM version of the entire concert.

You just have to pay for it :)
