A Princess of Mars
With all the hype (at least on some sites) surrounding the "A Princess of Mars" movie, I decided to read the book free online at
http://www-2.cs.cmu.edu/People/rgs/pmars-table.html
so do you think Kerry Conran is the right choice for director (of course, this can only be really decided once you see Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow)
and how would APOM be translated into film. It seems a bit difficult. It strikes me as a swashbuckler. I have heard that this book has been made into a movie before and failed at the box office. Is APOM going to be like Four Feathers?
what is your opinion, those of you who have read it.
thanks.

Well, John Carter was a very 30s ish serial adventure, seems right up the alley of Sky Captain director Kerry Conran. Whether he needs to go all CG is something that'll be interesting to see, but he seems like a good choice. (assuming sky captain is good, which the reviews seem to indicate).
