Uh...Nelly is the least talented 'rapper' in the business today.

I'm looking forward to the day he stops making 'music'.

I've already been listening to both Sweat and Suit for a few days now... Nelly is a great pop act... he's certainly not tough enough to be a rapper, and the songs are more pop than hip hop.

Sweat is a pretty decent record. There are probably 7 solid tracks on it, with only a little too much repetition to make it really great. Suit is a bit weaker, with too many similar sounding slower songs, but it's also got about 5 great tracks... so Nelly would have done better releasing 1 more diverse album of slow and fast songs that would have had 12 hits... but that's what CD burners are for!

Hey Tarantino why don't you go somewhere else to bash nelly...yes he's as mainstream as they come but regardless he's still a damn good rapper...go hate somewhere else buddy.

So what's the deal with the two albums? Are they all different songs? I'm not a fan, just curious.

Sweat is more of a straight up rap cd while Suit is more of a sing-songy cd. and yes they are all different songs.

At the very least, Nelly has a distinguishable style of his own.

On the other hand... for the life of me, I can't figure out why Jay-Z sells any records.

but that's just me.

Looking forward to hearing some of Nelly's new stuff.

I pre-ordered both Sweat and Suit but I haven't got them yet.
I ordered them and paid $9.99 each to get the bonus DVD that has 5 videos from the Derrty Vault; “Flap Your Wings,” “Air Force Ones,” “Country Grammar,” “Batter Up” and “Ride Wit Me.”
I do like the songs I've heard so far including the Christina duet on Sweat.

I'm sorry, but the first song on Sweat made me wonder why my mom is a fan of Nelly. I had to stop listening to the cd. I'll try again later.

As for Jay Z, I wonder the same thing, but then again, the NYC radio stations will push anything that has Jay Z's voice any where in it.

And this is where I don't understand why people don't just change the station.

...and back on the topic of Nelly, I was listening to some of the tracks from the Sweat CD last night and I have to say, I won't be running out to buy this one.

Pretty dissapointing. And on top of it all, the new The Prodigy CD is pretty weak. Tuesday was a bad day for discs I really wanted to like.

I do, but damnit, Jay Z is on every station. 8 ) Thank goodness for Usher and Kanye.

Oh my, your putting Usher and Kanye over Jay Z...

Heaven help us...

I've been an Usher fan for a long time, and Kanye, he just appeals to me. His pants don't hang off his a$$, and he's not talking about being shot 9 times while standing on the corner.

Also like Alicia Keys, the girl can sing.

I didn't say Jay Z did. I was giving my reason for preferring Kanye. 8 )

But Jay Z does rap about selling drugs in Marcy PJs, and indirectly how he's better than Biggie. But hey, he's probably just Frontin'.
