Resident Evil: Deluxe Edition missing free movie ticket

Is this a clever scam or what? I already own the Special Edition and figured it would be worth double dipping for this one since you get a free ticket for Resident Evil: Apocalypse. When I went to buy it, I was told that the free ticket isn't in the pack and there is no way to rectify this. I left the store w/o buying it.

Has anyone gotten the free ticket?

I got the ticket. You have to look for one with the special sticker on the front.

I'm confused. Sounds more like the person you asked didn't know what they were talking about. Unless you bought it and opened it up to look you wouldn't know for certain about the free ticket.

Shit, I bought mine at Best Buy here in State College, PA and got absolutely nothing. I didn't even know it had a free movie ticket.

I got mine today from Amazon.com, and it did not include a ticket. I am very disappointed. The free ticket was the major reason I double dipped.

Send it back. I ordered (but haven't received yet) from Amazon. On their web site it says
Special Offer: Purchase Resident Evil (Deluxe Edition) and receive Movie Money good for up to $7.50 admission to Resident Evil: Apocalypse. The coupon is enclosed in the DVD packaging and expires October 1, 2004.
If there's no Movie Money inside they're getting it right back.

I posted over in DVD Bargains about my experience with this. It seems there are two versions. One has a sticker that clearly states a free ticket is included, the other just lists extras. My local BB even had a shelf sign under RE (with just the extras sticker) that clearly states "free movie cash after mail-in rebate." I found my free ticket edition at a local Target, only place I saw that type (last copy as well).

Our Best Buy had a paper up saying that there was no free ticket, it was a misprint.

I called Amazon, and they eventually gave me a $7.50 refund. I also called Sony, but they were absolutely no help. One woman I spoke to did not even seem to know what a DVD was.

I visited two of my local Best Buys this morning and neither had copies of RE with the movie tickets.

Got mine from DDD today and yep, no ticket. But I wouldn't care anyway. I don't go to the theaters anymore. I just wait the extra 3-6 months for the DVD. However I may break my embargo and go see Ep. III next May.

Funny, I receive TWO tickets in mine! I was wondering if there was supposed to be one or two included. Lucky me.
