I need dark PS2 game suggestions

I'm buying a PS2 and am buying the games

Twisted Metal Black
Siren
Resident Evil OUtbreak

I need some suggestions for other dark, spooky, gloomy games like these three. HELP!

Manuhunt is seriously messed up and dark. Makes you uncomfortable doing twisted things.

Resident Evil: Code Veronica X
The Thing
Clock Tower 3

I love dark, spooky games - but why do I always have to jack up the brightness/contrast on my TV just to see a damn thing? Video games just seem to be naturally "darker" than movies and tv shows I guess...

I enjoyed the Suffering more than any of the others.

Why not just save the money and turn down the brightness on your TV?

Clock Tower 3 is a very short and mediocre game (took me about 6 hours to play through). The puzzles are very easy and the only hard part comes in the boss fight b/c your alter-ego moves like a skater stuck in quicksand.... It is bad. The whole time I was playing the game, I couldn't wait for it to finish. You are not missing much IMO.

I have to agree - but my wife seemed to enjoy it so I thought I'd throw it out there as an idea.

She wanted me to help her with one of the ScissorMan boss levels the other day; and I couldn't believe how frustrating the controls were. You can't even aim while you're in the over the shoulder camera mode while attacking enemies...
