My girlfriend would drag me along so i'd have no choice

their songs are enjoyable enough to listen to anyway

oh most definately,

for the best ABBA cover band, the best (hands down) is

Bjorn Again

who incidently will be on tour shortly:

Fri 09/24/04 Seattle, WA Graceland

Sun 09/26/04 Yakima, WA Central Wash. St. Fair

Wed 09/29/04 Vancouver, BC Commodore Ballroom

Sat 10/02/04 Lansdale, PA North Penn High School

Wed 10/06/04 Alexandria, VA The Birchmere

Mon 10/11/04 New York, NY B.B. King's Blues Club

Believe it or not, I remember reading that Kurt Cobain raved about Bjorn Again, and having seen them twice, I can definately atest to the fact that they are simply fantastic

Is there anyone alive who doesn't (maybe secretively) love at least one ABBA song? Say what you will, they were God-like hooksmiths. I wouldn't pay to see them live, though. With two kids, it's tough to get me out of the house.

He said it was a very professional show; highly enjoyable.

Incidentally I think they are one of those acts that has a rotating membership. In fact, according to this, there are a number of co-synchronous line-ups on tour at the same time.

Someone offered them a billion dollars I think, or some insane amount of money, they will never tour again.

I would see them

Bjorn Again was here as well, and I really regret not going, as everyone who went simply loved it and raved about it.

I would see ABBA in a heartbeat.

They were offered $1B US for 100 concerts in a year, somewhere around 2000/2001. Bjorn has confirmed the offer in more than one interview. He said that all four met to discuss it, but not one of them wanted to do it. A reformation is extremely unlikely and I think that's a good thing. I love ABBA but I doubt their ability to re-establish what they were over 20 years after they last worked together and with solo careers that are insignificant by comparison.

Bjorn Again was enough for me (great fun). Knowing how much tickets would cost I doubt I'd consider it.

No, because they would prolly have Rolling Stones tix prices, and the Stones are way better and worth it.
