Who else is psyched for Mortal Kombat Deception?

Multiple fatalities, death traps, and hari kari moves. Plus all the fighting styles of the last game. An all new Konquest mode where you can actually walk around and challenge fighters. I can't wait to get this game.

I will more than likely pick this game up....I have purchased every mortal kombat game since the series began. I am really excited about Baraka returning...he is one of my favorite characters.

"Flawless Victory"

I love it

I think I will wait on the reviews. I bought Deaedly Alliance on release day, on the name alone and was disappointed. Deception does look like a better game.

I have a feeling you'll dislike Deception simply because it has the same type of fighting as Deadly Alliance (3 martial arts for each person, same type of setup) with the addition of larger maps, deadly enivronments and expanded fatalities (as well as a suicide move to stop your opponent from pulling off a fatality).

Generally though it will be like Deadly Alliance refined with online play, chess game, puzzle fighting game and expanded Konquest mode.

I thought DA was the best version since MK2, so I have relatively high hopes for this one.

I'm looking forward to the "Arcade Perfect" version of the original Mortal Kombat more than Deception.

Mortal Kombat 2 is still the best version of the series, so i'll be picking up Midway Collection 2 as well.

Is Johnny Cage in it? If so, then yes.

I appreciate all the work that they've done with the extra modes and stuff, but I'm still apprehensive about the actual fighting engine. The chess game looks interesting, simply because of its similarity to Archon.

He hasn't been announced yet, the list so far is up at the Deception Home Page. Just click the news that has 14 Kombatants on it.

No Johnny Cage so far. Unless he's a super hidden character. I really liked the fighting engine of the last game. The 2 different styles and then use of weapons was pretty sweet.

I believe there are 24 characters to play right off the bat, so there are still 10 that are unannounced as of yet as well as the unlockables in addition to that.
