any word on SNL season sets or Scooby doo show

I don't know if they are going to bother to release Saturday Night LIve season sets. I know they are with Madtv but that's 20 years shorter. If so, I would buy the 96/97 seasons onwards. Anyone else? Oh yeah, and does anybody know if the scooby doo show from 1976 is going to be released on dvd anytime soon? I know it's just a matter of time. i'm waiting for that anxiously.

first off:

"they" refers to two different studios. Fox has had no problem releasing television sets as seasons while SNL's history shows us that they like to do a lot of "best of..." dvd's.

The amount of seasons that it would take to cover SNL and all the rights that need to be talked about with musical guest and hosts really makes complete SNL season sets nothing more then a pipe dream.

Madtv has guest hosts and special musical guests too. I wonder if it is possible.

Madtv's host were usually folks from various other fox productions. So gaining rights for that isn't so bad and it wasn't an every week occurance.

For the Chapelle show they just cut out those performances that couldn't be apart of it for rights reasons. I still think that the model shows that SNL would much rather do "Best Of" sets of the actors on the show.
