Panasonic RP91 player problem
Machine begins to read disc - 000 READ - then shuts off. Have to pull plug and wait a few minutes then machine will power up. If I do not remove disc machine will attempt to read disc once more then shut off.
No error codes.
Lightly cleaned the laser with alcohol - no difference. Any suggestions before I send to the shop? (six months out of warranty of course)

Do you have the latest firmware installed? If not go to www.avsforum.com and search for a thread that has a link to download the firmware update.
