small problem with my copy of Videodrome CC

I watched this last night and I tried to reverse a scene and it just would'nt do it. I pressed the reverse and foward buttons a couple of times and it would only jump a few seconds. The skip function works fine, just not the foward or reverse function... anyone else encounter this problem?

Maybe those controls were disabled at Cronenberg's request? (wasn't Criterion's KNIFE IN THE WATER disc like that?) I didn't hear anything about VIDEODROME being like that. I haven't had the chance to check out my copy yet, but I'll take a look at it tonight.

Could it be a layer-change issue?

KNIFE IN THE WATER is the same way at the request of Roman, so maybe Cronenberg did as well.

It works on mine. Listening to Cronenberg's commentary and saw this thread so I tried it out.
