DVD Talk review of 'Chris Rock:Never Scared'

...was wondering how it is compared to his other stand up performances? Ian, have you seen Bring The Pain and/or Bigger and Blacker??

I have, but not in quite a while. Honestly though, I think this one is his best yet. It's still Chris Rock but it's a little more mature I suppose. I love the 'toss my salad' man bit as much as everyone else but this new material is a little more thought provoking than that, without being highbrow at all.

Honestly, I love Bring the Pain & Bigger and Blacker and I really didn't think "Never Scared" was all that when I saw it on HBO Tuesday night. There were some funny parts, but also LOOOOONG stretches where I didn't laugh at all. He even stole Jay's abortion joke from Dogma. And he tended to repeat things two or three times, which got annoying.
