Here are the pics from the 8/29 Astros vs Cubs games. I was suppose to meetup with ChiTownAbs but dude never called me. I got a pretty good deal on the tickets from the scapler... paid $50 each for 3 tickets for the Club Box seats. I was sitting in front of where Steve Bartman sat!

I will have more pics to follow later.

What are your camera settings? 400 or 800 asa? And your shutter speed?

zuffy

I was shooting aperture priority from F6.3 - F8 @ ISO 100 and 200. I think the shutter was at minimum of 1/125 and up. You can checkout each pics @ http://www.pbase.com/zuffy/astroscubs for the camera settings. I should have used ISO 400 for some of the shots to minimize the motion blur. Oh well, it's too late now. Another thing was that the lens I was using is too soft wide open thus for the smaller aperture.

Awesome pictures!

What lenses were you using?

Thanks. All of the pics was taken with the Canon 28-135 except for the Wrigley Field and outside pics. Those 2 pics was taken with the Canon 17-40L.

Very nice. Is the seat with the Cubs stickers the Bartman seat?

zuffy

Yup. One of the fan said the Cubs do not have that seat for sell anymore becaused it's cursed.

Great answer and great picks.

Being a amatuer photographer for 20 years I can honestly look at all your great photos and say it's more you than the camera.

I could have the same clubs as Tiger Woods and still shoot 30 strokes higher than him.

Why do people thing it's the camera and if they had the same one they could take the same shots. It's an eye for the picture before you even press the button and you have it my friend.

When I go snow skiing it's me not the skis or my boots. When I play basketball on Monday nights and make a shot it's me not the ball I'm using.

By the way my pots occasionaly can make some good food too.

First of all, I wholeheartedly agree with your point that it's usually more the photographer than the equipment. And I can tell that zuffy has an eye for photography.

Now, having said that, the camera has a lot to do with it as well. SOME of the pictures are of players just standing there, not requiring much imagination or creativity. Even those pictures (even when scaled down to about 1/2 megapixel) look super because of the incredible detail provided by the camera.

Anyhoo, my favorite pics are (in order):
1. Garciaparra, the kid, Derrek Lee, and the "I http://www.coldpumpkin.com/pics/heart.jpg D. LEE" sign.
2. Patterson's oops.
3. The outfield.
4. Berkman rounding the bases.
5. Barrett.
