He was just released by Jacksonville today. He signed a 5 yr 37M contract last year. He is 33 years old.

For that price, I'd take the risk even though Douglas hasn't looked too good recently. Of course he seemed out of shape last year, so maybe he can improve this year.
Oh, and man did Jacksonville fuck up that signing last year.

No surprised. They loved him in Philly....and will most likely welcome him back with open arms. Ahh Philly fans (hate em when they leave, love em when they come back). What's next? Scott Rolen returns to the Phillies next year? :)

No, we hate jackasses like Rolen. Duce Staley was cheered on his return last week. No one ever hated Hugh Douglas either.

Great to have him back, he adds more depth to that d-line which always seems like it gets hurt and he's great in the locker room. I cannot wait for this season to begin.

I was Philly born and raised....I know how they (we) work. :) There is no way in hell Rolen would be booed consistantly if he were to return to the ballclub. Just my opinion.
Also, the reason (one of them) for his leaving had to do with him being badmouthed within the organization.
