does anyone else have a problem when clipping penalties are called. for me when they are called whatever yards I gained plus the 15 yard penalty are added to my rushing total as a loss. a Lee Suggs rush for 55 yards was called back for clipping on the opening play of a game and the stats showed Suggs with -70 yards rushing

Yeah, that's been a problem since the game has been released. I want to say that someone on the ESPN boards has said it should be fixed with a patch somewhere down the line.

Ive only noticed 3 glitches, all good for me.
1. The computer misses a ridiculous amount of field goal, especially close ones.
2. The quarterback will throw a pass past the line of scrimmage (penalty)at least once a game for me.
3. The passing numbers are messed up (itll say 32 of 40 passing as a popup , then when i go into gamecast stats ill be like 35 of 44, its never correct)

I always get my 2nd and 3rd string QB's subbed in for my starters. Im a Lions fan, so I have to put Joey Harrington as my second stringer in order for the cpu to place him in the game as the starter. wtf?

Same here, it swaps out my quarterback, running back, and wideouts. On some formations it won't let me switch some of the players. :(

On my Packers team on the Pro formation Couch and Davenport and put in instead of Favre and Green. I'm playing Madden more now just because of that glitch.

I haven't noticed any of these glitches, but there is a glitch in the offensive line blocking that really pisses me off. The guards will stand and watch as the D tackle runs right by him or will go block the end while letting the tackle kill my QB unblocked. :brickwl:
It is especially frustrating on Live whenever someone uses this to his advantage every damn time. I played last night where someone sacked me ten times using this glitch exclusively. I use a D linemen to rush and get 3-4 sacks/ game, but not like that. I wish they could fix this, but I'm sure it will have to wait until 2K6.

That glitch kinda pisses me off, cause it doesn't give you a decent chance to pass.

Exactly, and everyone is open downfield, but it doesn't matter. I have tried to run to that side, and hope they get in a different defense. Slants are open, but I can't get the damn ball off. It seems that most people do this with the Pats or Eagles in bear defense. Tell me if you have any other ideas because my poor Falcons O-line sucks, but not this bad.

Try roll outs or hot routing your RB to pass block. Might buy a second or two to get the pass off. I have the same problem playing online with the Lions. Some guys do this all game long and are constantly in my backfield.
As far as the roster problems, I have never seen or heard of that. Are you guys adjusting them on the depth chart or on the substitution screen? The depth chart does it for all formations and the substitution will only do it for certain formations (I believe).
Also, I am using the Lions as Rob V. and have not had a problem with Joy Harrington not being my starter.

Yeah, then there is the fact that you only have a few roll out plays anyway so you are stuck with 3-4 passing plays to use.

I need to find some new pass plays to use for long distance (3rd and 12). I like two plays in an open formation (no back) and this is terrible when playing a cheesin' bastard. I will have test out some quad pass plays or something to utilize my back blocking.

The only problem with that I've had with hot-routing, is that you cannot tell your RB where to block. He may not block a rusher from the side that you want him to block, which may leave your qb open for a sack.

I can say I've seen most of these glitches. I wish I could get my o-line to block the linebackers in a 3-4 defense, they only want to block the d-line. I've gotta say the negative rushing yards is at the top of my most-hated glitches ever list.
I have come across a new problem though, my game stalls when I try to make substitutions during regular season games in season 3. It also stalled while playing the game one time. Anyone else?

i too have seen most of these glitches. I think they made the scrambling QB's too fast too. I hate playing against guys who use either the Cowboys, Eagles, or Falcons because all they do is drop back and then scramble with their QB for 15-20 yards a pop.

Yeah, I played a guy like that last night. Now is the time that I need to master the art of defensive "hot routing" or whatever the term is, such as the spy QB action and delayed blitz. I think if you did this then you may be able to stop play like that.

Beyond these other glitches, has anybody had the commentary get delayed to the point where it actually hangs up the game to the point of freezing up?
The disc just spins and spins, and I can access everything, but can't hike the ball.

You wouldn't want to play me then. If my first two reads are covered, I'm running with Vick. I know what you're talking about, though. I have played many people with the Eagles that call a pass play with no intention of passing and scramble with McNabb for 10-15 yards. At least if I call a pass play, I want to pass. If everyone is covered, then it is smart to run though.

So are 23 interceptions with Mark Bulger in 6 games considered a glitch? Basically I cannot throw the ball A.) inside the 20 yard line OR B.) less than 3 minutes in the game.

Wow, that is pretty bad. I will have to try the Rams and see how I do. Are you forcing the throws to covered receivers? You have to wait long enough for them to get open. If you watch you will see the WR bumping with the DB's. You have to wait for them to make their cut before you throw. Once they do, your WR will usually have a step on the DB. Are you using maximum passing?

Yes, I would probably not like playing you :) If your intentions are to really pass then that's alright, but I have played guys who scramble their QB 95% of the pass plays, and I don't think they ever intend on passing it. I know my Lions aren't that great at covering the WR's since I have been burned for mucho passing yardage before.

I'm not using Maximum Passing (that's the lead the receiver with the tumbstick thing, right?). And no, I'm not making bad throws. I had one game where I had thrown for 250+ yards from outside the 20 (with two INTs both times I got inside) and one TD (it was outside the 20). And with 2 minutes left in the game I threw 3 more interceptions.
Granted, it took me awhile to be able to pass, and I have bumped up the difficulty hoping that would eliminate some of the INTs (I was averaging 6+ a game with my defense as well).
I haven't tried another team yet, so I didn't know if this was endemic with Bulger, if it was just me, or if the whole game is like that.

Try lobbing the pass as opposed to throwing a bullet pass. It cut down on my INT's alot. Just be careful because lobs are more likely to be picked off.

I've experienced the roster glitch in my season too. it's real annoying and really messes up the game. I don't notice the switch and try to scramble with detmer instead of mcnabb.
if you have a league on xbox live, trades will happen without the players initiating it. I guess it happens a lot because its an option in the admin options. it gives you a special form to fill out to report to sega.
