I know it is the preseason and they played the Cardinals but they looked good.

This is the game where most of the starters play and Gannon was checking off to his 2nd and 3rd receivers just like he did in 2002.

Tyrone Wheatley and Zak Crockett were pounding the ball.

They sucked last year because their offensive line was aging and injured.

Now they got Gallery and Ron Stone and they are giving Gannon protection.

They almost beat the Chiefs twice last year in two close games and now they improved their defense with Sapp, Ted Washington, and Ray Buchannon and Tyler Brayton might blossom this year at DE.

The Chiefs defense still sucks and they made no major improvements plus the Broncos lost Portis and the Chargers are the Chargers.

Don't be surpised if the Raiders reclaim their throne in the AFC West.

Arizona moved the ball well against them at times but just couldn't punch it in and this was without their three best WRs. Granted they had a lacklusted rushing attack, but no one expects them to be able to move the ball on the ground on a consistant basis anyway.

I'm not ready to say they are back but I am comfortable saying that they will probably be better than the Chargers this year. They will not however challenge the Chiefs or the Broncos for the AFC West or a wildcard spot.

Well it's hard to imagine them being worse, but this team signed a number of players one step from the retirement home. I wouldn't count on them being "back"
