The Office - Any news of an R1 Complete Box Set in the future with Seasons 1&2+Xmas?
I saw that such a box set will be available for R2 on November 22, 2004 (Link).
I've seen Season 1 via NetFlix and this is definitely on my Buy list. However, if an R1 Complete Box set is around the corner, I can wait till Xmas as opposed to buying them separately.
Any news for R1?

There will be a "box set" of all three releases (atleast that was said in an earlier thread here), I believe when the Christmas Special comes out in November,
but I find this odd from Amazon, although it is just a mix up in cover art:
Here is the page for The Office Special:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...v=glance&s=dvd
but here is the page for The Office Series 1 & Series 2 - yet the cover art on the page is for The Office Series 1, Series 2, and The Special.
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...864064-5273647
And they do not have a preorder page for the supposed "box set".

Thanks. I will be getting the box set and sell my Series 1 and 2 sets if the box set includes the same packaging, but I will not be buying it from Amazon.
And thanks for finding the link for others.
I usually don't go through DVDTalk's coming soon, so I wouldn't have known.

Absolutely, thanks for that link. It's curious how the box set just says, and "Specials", but does not specifically refer to it as the Christmas specials (as I thought they had come to be known as). PC kicking in? In any event, it seems that the release of this box set will be perfectly timed with ddd's next 20% off sale.

I'm guessing, rather than jumping to the PC conclusion, that when BBC-America airs them in October, they're going to air them as one episode, rather than spread over Christmas and Boxing Day as they were in Britain ... so, to avoid confusion for the people who only know it from BBC-A, they'll call it "The Special", since it's not airing at Christmas.
Just a thought, though.
UPDATE: The BBC America site seems to be calling it a two-hour special, yeah. I think they were the Christmas episodes because they aired at Christmas.

I'll double check the episodes.
